“Sluuuurp” is a sound we’re all familiar with; when we hear one, it can make our skin crawl. But what about the person doing the slurping? How do they feel? Satisfaction… Euphoria… or even just a little smitten to be chowing down on some lovely grub. Whatever the answer, we created some stunning DOOH using a mix of 3D artwork & CGI animation.

For this production, I led the CGI workflow. Collaborating closely with Hashir to bring the 3D artwork created by Ben to life. The workflow included a pre-vis stage, where we worked on a bouncy animation; once we were internally satisfied, we moved into compositing to give the text a noodle texture and a grade treatment.

Our lovely talent, front and centre, was captured on a shoot against a green-screen backdrop, which we roto’d out to fit dynamically within the Sluuuuuuuuuuurp text.

This CGI production included a variety of post-disciplines to create a fun and funky final product.
